
Rivermen plan Girl Scout Night for December 10

Peoria, IL (November 16, 2005) - Ticket Sales Manager Wendy Mitchell of the Peoria Rivermen, proud new primary affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, today announced that the Rivermen will present "Girl Scout Night" on Saturday, December 10. That night, the Rivermen will take on the Milwaukee Admirals at 7:00 p.m. at Carver Arena at the Peoria Civic Center.
Prior to that night's game, Girl Scouts will have the unique opportunity to participate in a skills clinic with the Rivermen staff. During the clinic, the girls will learn the fundamentals of the sport of ice hockey. The clinic will be held at 5:00 p.m. on the Carver Arena ice surface, and only registered Girl Scouts are eligible to participate for an entry fee of $3.00 per girl. The Rivermen are a proud new member of the AHL. Founded in 1936, the AHL now serves as the primary development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams and is celebrating its 70th anniversary season in 2005-06.
