BUFFALO, NY - After dropping the series opener last night, the Buffalo Bisons evened up their six-game set against the Worcester Red Sox with a 7-2 win on Wednesday night from Sahlen Field.

The Herd gave Bowden Francis an early 2-0 lead thanks to a two-run homer by Gabriel Moreno in the first. Moreno, who was just named the top prospect in all of baseball by Baseball America, went deep for the first time since rejoining the Bisons on July 12.

Francis, meanwhile, threw two inning and gave up one unearned run, before Andrew Vasquez made his first rehab appearance since being placed on the injured list on June 9 with a sprained right ankle. The lefty had a perfect inning of work, before Tayler Saucedo struck out four over his 1.2 innings.

An RBI sac fly by Otto López in the fourth put the Herd up 3-1, setting the table for Hayden Juenger, who made his Triple-A debut in the sixth after being promoted from Double-A New Hampshire on July 23.

Jeunger made 20 appearances for the Fisher Cats and had a 4.02 ERA and 67 K's over 56 innings, though he had a WHIP of 1.09 and held opposing hitters to a measly .196 batting average. The righthander threw two no-hit innings in his Bisons debut, allowing just one walk while punching out two.

Trent Thornton had yet another scoreless frame in the eighth before a two-run double by Logan Warmoth in the bottom half gave the Bisons some much-needed insurance runs. López followed that up with a two-run triple - his second triple of the game - to blow it open and put the Herd up by six; López finished the night 3-4 with a pair of triples, a sac fly, and three RBIs.

Thornton remained in the game in the ninth, and despite giving up an RBI single to Grant Williams, wrapped things up shortly after to lock down the win.

The Bisons and WooSox will continue their series tomorrow for a rare weekday matinée, with first pitch set for 1:05 p.m. EST.
