Bees Blank RedHawks for Series Win

Oklahoma City, Okla. - Eric Junge and two relievers combined on a five-hit shutout leading the Salt Lake Bees (20-20) to a 3-0 win over the Oklahoma City RedHawks (17-22) before 9,976 Tuesday at RedHawks Field at Bricktown.

Astros infielder Jeff Keppinger collected three of the five RedHawks hits in his second rehabilitation game with Oklahoma City (his sixth game overall).

Junge (2-2) allowed four hits over seven shutout innings with one walk and five strikeouts in the winning decision. Douglas Arguello (2-4) allowed three runs and six hits with three walks and three strikeouts over four innings in the losing effort. Jason Bulger (1) saved the game with a scoreless ninth inning.

Salt Lake opened the scoring in the third inning. Kevin Richardson led off with a double and later scored on a two-out single from Andrew Romine for a 1-0 lead.

The Bees added two more two-out runs in the fourth inning. With two out and bases empty, Efren Navarro singled and scored on a Richardson double to deep left-centerfield for a 2-0 game. Romine later drew a bases loaded walk to bring in the third run.
