
Bees Activate Vega

Burlington Bees News Release
Burlington, IA (August 31, 2005) "" The Kansas City Royals have activated Burlington Bees first baseman Miguel Vega from the disabled list. Vega went on the disabled list on June 10th with a sprained left thumb that ultimately needed surgery. Vega was cleared to return by the Royals doctors in Kansas City yesterday. He has been taking batting practice and infield for the last week. Vega is not in the starting lineup tonight, but is available off the bench for the Bees game against the Clinton LumberKings tonight at 7:00 at Community Field.
The Bees final home game of the season is tomorrow night at 7:00 against the LumberKings. Tomorrow is a Fat Tuesdays Thirsty Thursday and Fan Appreciation Night at Community Field. The Bees will finish the regular season with four more games against the LumberKings at Alliant Energy Field in Clinton.
