Bears and Senators meet Friday at Broome County

The fourth game of a season long five-game road trip places the BEARS in the southern tier of New York State Friday. HERSHEY and Binghamton meet for just the second of eight meetings this season.

Following the conclusion of tonight's game, the BEARS will officially complete the first half of the 2006-07 season. HERSHEY leads the season series 1-0-0-0 after a 5-3 win Thanksgiving night in Binghamton. The two teams will meet seven times between Friday and April 14. The next four meetings will be at GIANT Center, with games February 25, March 3, March 18 and March 25. The BEARS will not return to Binghamton after Friday's game until Wednesday, April 4.

HERSHEY begins play Friday tied with the Norfolk Admirals for the most points in the AHL with 57. The Admirals play host Friday to the Albany River Rats at Norfolk Scope, while the BEARS travel to New York. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, the closest to Norfolk and HERSHEY in the standings, travels to Chicago Friday to face the top team points wise in the Western Conference. The Senators enter play Friday in seventh place in the East Division with 26 points, the lowest current mark in the American Hockey League.

The BEARS announced Thursday that center Kyle Wilson has been signed to a standard AHL contract through the 2007-08 season. Wilson has 18 points in 16 games for the BEARS since making his debut on December 2.

John Walton has the call of the action from Binghamton. HERSHEY will conclude the five-game road trip Saturday in Bridgeport and return home to face the Albany River Rats this Sunday at GIANT Center.
