Bulldogs Shutout by Moose

WINNIPEG, MB - Despite out-shooting the Manitoba Moose 19-17, the Hamilton Bulldogs dropped their fourth-straight game by a score of 2-0 on Friday night at MTS Centre. With the loss, Hamilton's record drops to 22-17-1-1. Hamilton has now been shutout in three of its last seven games.

The Bulldogs relinquished the first goal of the game for the seventh consecutive contest when the Moose took a 1-0 lead at 3:41 of the first period. Jesse Schultz posted his 10th goal of the season from Prestin Ryan and Mike Keane.

Manitoba went up 2-0 with only three seconds remaining in the opening frame when Jason Jaffray scored on the power play. Lee Goren and Yannick Tremblay picked up assists on the goal.

After a scoreless second period, Brad Moran extended the Moose lead to 3-0 at 9:05 of the third frame. Tremblay and Goren each recorded their second assists of the game on Moran's 16th tally of the campaign.

Hamilton went 0-for-4 on the power play, while Manitoba was 1-for-6 with the man-advantage.

Yann Danis made 14 saves on 17 shots for the Bulldogs in a losing effort, while his counterpart Drew MacIntyre turned aside all of the 19 shots he faced for the Moose to pick up his 10th win of the season.

The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow night (Saturday, January 13th) at 8:00 p.m. when they take on the Wolves in Chicago at Allstate Arena.
