Louisville Bats News Release

MOOSIC, PA - Four Louisville Bats recorded multi-hit games and had at least one RBI in a 10-3 win over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders Wednesday night at PNC Field.

Louisville opened the scoring the top of the second inning when Taylor Motter hit a solo home run. It was Motter's eighth long ball of the season. Two batters later, Chris Okey hit his second home run of the year, extending the Bats lead to 2-0.

The score held there until the top of the sixth inning when Motter drove in his second run of the game with a sacrifice fly.

Bats' starter Randy Wynne was dominant, holding Scranton off the board until the bottom of the sixth. Phillip Evans finally broke the seal for the RailRiders with his two-out, two-strike RBI single to cut the deficit to 3-1. Wynne ended up allowing just that run (unearned) over his 6.0 innings of work.

The Louisville offense began to pour it on in the top of the seventh inning, scoring three runs on RBI's from TJ Friedl and Cristian Santana.

After Scranton got a run back in the bottom of the seventh on Estevan Florial's solo home run, the Bats plated four more tallies in the top of the eighth inning. Friedl had two more RBI's in the inning, giving him three on the night after entering as a pinch hitter in the seventh.

Miguel Andujar hit a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth, but that would be all for the RailRiders in Louisville's 10-3 victory.

The Bats and RailRiders will play game three of their six-game series Thursday night at PNC Field. Brandon Williamson (1-1, 4.50 ERA) will start for Louisville, opposing Hayden Wesneski (4-7, 3.79 ERA). First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. ET.
