January 25, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Norfolk Admirals News Release

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The American Hockey League today announced that Norfolk Admirals defenseman Mark Barberio and forward Cory Conacher have been voted into the starting lineups for the 2012 AHL All-Star Game, as determined by fans through the 2012 AHL All-Star Classic Fan Balloting presented by Reebok. The 2012 AHL All-Star Classic will take place Sunday and Monday, Jan. 29 and 30, in Atlantic City, N.J.

This is the third and fourth time an Admirals player has been named a starter for the AHL All-Star Classic. Brandon Bochenski has twice been named a starter for the AHL All-Star Classic. However, he did not play either time, as he was injured in 2007 and was on NHL recall to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2010.

Barberio and Conacher will be joined in the AHL All-Star Classic by Admirals teammate Trevor Smith. All three players will be appearing in their first AHL All-Star Classic.
