Heat Vs Wolves Game Preview

January 25, 2012 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Abbotsford Heat News Release

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat and Chicago Wolves (Vancouver Canucks) close out a two-game set after last night's third period Heat rally fell short in a 3-2 loss. Tonight marks the Heat's final contest prior to the All-Star break, which won't see the team back in action until February 2nd in Rochester.

After last night's second loss to the Wolves in four games this season All-Star defenseman Clay Wilson stated, "Anytime you're going into a break you want to end on a win, or have some momentum going into the break. You don't want to go home having a bad feeling in your stomach after losses. Tomorrow is a big game for us."

The Heat will have the services of Roman Horak at their disposal tonight as the former Chilliwack Bruins center was returned on loan from the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night. The 20-year-old rookie was the surprise of Calgary Flames training camp, making the team against the odds. The Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic product has spent all but two days this season with the NHL club; in his only two games in the AHL this season Horak registered an assist in a win over the Lake Erie Monsters.

Tonight's contest can be heard on Country 107.1 FM, and online at theAHL.com with the pre-game show beginning at 6:30, and puck drop slated for 7:00 PM. Next home action for the Heat after tonight is on February 9th at the Scotiabank Saddledome and February 11th back at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre as the Oklahoma City Barons visit the Heat.
