LAKEWOOD, NJ - Harold Arauz threw five scoreless innings and the BlueClaws used a five-run fourth inning to top Lexington 6-0 in a rain-shortened game on Wednesday at FirstEnergy Park. The game was called in the bottom of the fifth inning.

The BlueClaws sweep the three-game series with Lexington and improve to 23-35 on the year while Lexington falls to 22-36.

Lakewood scored an unearned run to open the scoring in the second inning when Jan Hernandez doubled in Austin Bossart, who had reached on an error, to put the BlueClaws up 1-0.

After a scoreless third, the BlueClaws added five runs, including six straight hits, in the fourth. Carlos Duran opened the scoring with an RBI double and was followed by an RBI single by Venn Biter. After Emmanuel Marrero's RBI single, Jiandido Tromp added an RBI single before Nik Stephenson came on for starter Scott Blewett. Josh Tobias' SAC fly scored the fifth run of the inning and put the BlueClaws up 6-0.

The series sweep was Lakewood's second of the season - they swept a four-game series from West Virginia from May 12-15.

The BlueClaws now head to Delmarva for a four-game weekend series with the Shorebirds. RHP Franklyn Kilome (1-5) starts on Thursday night against RHP Francisco Jimenez (4-5).
