Rome Rallies in Extras, Takes Finale 3-2

Rome, GA - In the final game of the series the Rome Braves earned the victory over the Charleston Riverdogs 3-2 in eleven innings.

Charleston took an early lead plating one run in the second thanks to an Alexander Palma RBI double. The Riverdogs scored another run in the third inning on a Leudys Baez fielding error allowing a run to score making it a 2-0 game. Rome mounted a comeback with two runs in the fifth on Carlos Castro's (3) 408 foot solo home run and Luke Dykstra's RBI base hit knotting the score at two. Great pitching shut both teams down until extra innings.

The Braves eleventh inning saw Jonathan Morales lead off with a base hit and he was replaced by pinch runner Bradley Keller. He advanced to second on a passed ball. In the subsequent at bat Justin Ellison singled to deep left scoring the runner from third and giving the Braves the 3-2 victory.

Matt Custred (3-1) picks up the win his third win David Sosebee (0-2) is charged with the loss.
