Anaheim Returns Pogge To Rampage

SAN ANTONIO (February 6, 2010) - The Anaheim Ducks today announced that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned goaltender Justin Pogge to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Pogge, 23, posted a 7-5-2 record with a 2.47 goals-against-average (GAA) and.924 save percentage (SV%) in 14 games with the Rampage prior to his recall to the Ducks on Sunday. A native of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Pogge began the season with the Bakersfield Condors (ECHL), going 6-2-0 with a 2.69 GAA and.902 SV% in nine appearances.

Prior to the 2009-10 season, Pogge appeared in 142 AHL games posting a 71-56-11 record with a 2.71 GAA and.899 SV% over the course of three seasons with the Toronto Marlies. Last season, he recorded a 4.35 GAA and.844 SV% with a 1-4-1 record in seven games with the Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL). He became the first Toronto goaltender to start and win in his NHL debut since Mar. 22, 1991 (Damian Rhodes at Detroit).

The 6-4, 202-pound netminder was selected by Toronto in the third round (90th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The Rampage visit the Manitoba Moose tonight for their second of a back-to-back matchup at 7:30 p.m. at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
