Columbus Recalls Right Wing Mike Blunden

Syracuse, NY (February 6, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have added right wing Mike Blunden to their roster on emergency recall.

Blunden, 23, has appeared in 15 games for the Crunch this season, tallying four goals, five assists and 32 penalty minutes. In addition, he has skated in 21 games with Columbus this year, collecting 29 penalty minutes. In 193 combined AHL games with the Crunch, Norfolk and Rockford, Blunden has registered 37 goals, 55 assists and 242 penalty minutes.

A native of Toronto, Ontario, Blunden was acquired by Columbus from Chicago in exchange for Adam Pineault on January 10, 2009.

Tickets for the Mirabito Outdoor Classic, the AHL's first-ever outdoor game, are priced at $30 for end grandstand and $40 for center grandstand seating. Group pricing begins at 20 tickets and range as low as $26.

The Crunch's next game is on Saturday, February 6 at 7:30 p.m. when they face Adirondack at the War Memorial at Oncenter.
