Americans Look for Sweep in Canada

Brampton, Ontario - The Allen Americans (31-7-2-2) close out a two-game set against the Brampton Beast (13-27-2-0) tonight at 6:30 pm CST from the Powerade Centre in Southern Ontario.

The Americans are 4-0 against the Brampton Beast this season, outscoring Brampton 24-5 in four games, including a 6-0 win in Allen on December 13th.

Gary Steffes has scored a goal or more in three straight games, including his 30th and 31st last night in the Americans 5-2 win. Steffes scored his league-leading 12th power play goal last evening.

Chad Costello has a 16-game point streak for Allen, which is the second longest in team history behind another Americans born player Nino Musitelli. Costello can tie Musitelli's 17-game point streak with a goal or an assist tonight. Costello has one assist or more in 16 straight games, an all-time Americans record.

Riley Gill is expected to get the start in net tonight for Allen, with Aaron Dell still on call-up with the Worcester Sharks.
