Tri-City Americans News Release
Americans vs. Thunderbirds
Friday, November 6 | Kent, WA | accesso ShoWare Center
Start Time: 6:05 p.m PDT
The Americans and Thunderbirds will meet tonight for the fourth game in their 14-game series and their first match up this season at the accesso ShoWare Center.
Tri-City has already played Seattle in three of their last four games, falling each time. Despite struggling to get back in the win column, the Americans have been heating up over the last few games.
The Americans have scored the first goal for three straight games. Last night it was Parker Bell scoring on the power play to give the Americans the first lead of the night. Bell went on to add another goal later in the game for his fist ever multi-goal game. The 2022 NHL Draft prospect leads the Americans in scoring and has two goals and two assists over the last three games.
After collecting just two power play goals through the first six games of the season, the Ams have scored four power play goals in the last three games.
The Americans will look to continue their momentum and snap Seattle's six game win streak tonight. Jordan Gustafson is their leading scorer and also leads head-to-head scoring with three goals and an assist against the Americans.
2005-born defenseman Carter Savage made his WHL debut last night with the Americans. The six-foot-one and 177-pound native of Surrey, B.C. was selected 113th overall by the Ams in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.
Talyn Boyko played his 7th straight game in net last night and stopped 30 of 35 shots faced.
