METAIRIE, La. -- Matt Angle hit a three-run home run and also robbed a home run to lead the Albuquerque Isotopes to a 7-4 win Sunday afternoon over the New Orleans Zephyrs.

Red Patterson (3-1), making his fourth start this year and third in a row in place of Matt Magill, faced one batter over the minimum in six scoreless innings. Patterson struck out nine and walked none. The only hit allowed was a clean single to right-center by Gorkys Hernandez in the fourth inning. Patterson lowered his ERA from 4.86 to 4.19 with the gem.

The Isotopes (33-30) split the four-game series. They've alternated a win and loss in nine consecutive games.

Angle robbed Koyie Hill of a home run to end the second inning, timing his jump and reaching his glove over the fence in center field. Angle led off the fourth inning with a single, stole second base, and scored the game's first run on a double by Justin Sellers.

In the fifth, Chili Buss singled to left and Elian Herrera's bunt resulted in an errant throw by Zephyrs starting pitcher Matt Neil (1-2). On a 3-1 pitch, Angle homered into the swimming pool area at Zephyrs Field. It was Angle's sixth home run this year, and third in his last three starts.

Rusty Ryal followed with a single and Jeremy Moore doubled to chase Neil. Sellers greeted relief pitcher Jordan Smith with a two-run single through a drawn-in infield. Sellers had four hits in the game.

Brian Barden followed with an RBI double. Barden had six hits, including four doubles, in the last three games.

Jordan Brown hit a solo home run off Anthony Ortega in the seventh. Pinch hitter Kyle Skipworth connected on a three-run homer in the ninth off Ortega. Sean White got the final two outs for his first save.

The Isotopes continue their eight-game road trip with a series at Round Rock starting on Monday. Rob Rasmussen will make his Triple-A debut for the Isotopes. The Express' starting pitcher is undecided. First pitch is at 6:05 pm MDT. Catch all the action on 610 AM "The Sports Animal" with Josh Suchon on the call.
