Albany Devils Add Kevin Rooney from Providence College

ALBANY, NY - The Albany Devils have signed center Kevin Rooney to an Amateur Tryout Agreement. The announcement was made by Albany Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald.

Rooney recently completed his four-year collegiate career at Providence College (Hockey East). As a team captain during his senior season, he contributed 10 points, posting six goals and four helpers in 38 games. During his four years, the Canton, MA native helped the Friars to the 2015 NCAA National Championship and a share of the 2016 Hockey East regular season title. He logged 144 games and had 36 points with 17 tallies and 19 assists.

Prior to Providence, he attended Berkshire School (NEPSIHA). During two seasons, he amassed 58 points with 27 goals and 31 assists.

The 6-2, 190 lb., left-shooting center was born on May 21, 1993.
