
2004 & 2007 Red Sox World Series Trophies to Visit Hadlock on Monday

Portland, Maine-- The Boston Red Sox have announced the celebration of Maine Day at Fenway Park on September 14th when the Red Sox take on the Toronto Blue Jays. To kickoff the Maine Day appreciation the Boston Red Sox will be bringing the 2004 and 2007 World Series Trophies to Hadlock Field on Monday, August 25th when the Sea Dogs face the New Britain Rock Cats.
The 2004 and 2007 World Series Trophies will be on display and available for public viewing and pictures from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the Birthday Party area (located behind the third base grandstand) at Hadlock Field. Fans should plan to bring their own camera. You must have a ticket to the August 25th Sea Dogs game to gain admittance to the ballpark to see the trophies. Tickets are available by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or online at www.seadogs.com.
Seven former Portland Sea Dogs players were on the 2007 Red Sox World Series roster including ALCS MVP Josh Beckett, Manny Delcarmen, Jacoby Ellsbury, Game Four winner Jon Lester, All-Star closer Jonathan Papelbon, American League Rookie of the Year Dustin Pedroia, and Gold Glove Award winner Kevin Youkilis.
Monday, August 25th is Clay Buchholz bobblehead doll night, courtesy of Northeast Delta Dental. The first 1,000 fans to enter the ballpark will receive a Clay Buchholz bobblehead commemorating his no-hitter last season against the Baltimore Orioles.
Individual game playoff tickets are now on sale. The Sea Dogs are looking to make their fourth straight post-season appearance. Currently the Sea Dogs (69-58) sit in second place, two games ahead of the Binghamton Mets for the final playoff spot with 13 games remaining. Playoff tickets are priced the same as regular season ticket prices, ranging from $4.00 to $9.00. Eastern League playoffs are scheduled to begin on September 3rd.
