
Thunder Release 2009 Home Schedule

Trenton Thunder News Release
TRENTON - The Trenton Thunder, the Double A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, released its 2009 home schedule on Thursday afternoon.
The 2009 season will begin at Waterfront Park on April 8 against the Binghamton Mets. The New York Mets will send their Eastern League affiliate to Trenton for ten games next year: April 8-11, May 8-10 and June 12-14.
The Thunder will face the Double A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, the Portland Sea Dogs, seven times at home in 2009. The Sea Dogs will make their first trip to Trenton May 11-13 followed by July 16-19.
Philadelphia Phillies fans can catch the Reading Phillies in Trenton for seven games next season, June 26-29 and August 11-13.
The New Britain Rock Cats will make the most appearances at Waterfront Park in 2009 as they will play 11 games in Trenton including July 4. The Minnesota Twins affiliate will visit Trenton April 23-26, July 4-6 and August 28-31.
Standard game times will remain at 7:05 PM for night games. The first Saturday of the season as well as Sunday games will start at 1:05 PM with the exception of Sunday, June 28 against Reading and Sunday, July 5 against New Britain when the games will begin at 6:05 PM.
Mid-week day games will return in 2009 beginning with an 11:05 AM start on Thursday, May 21 against Akron. The Thunder will also start at 11:05 AM on Thursday, June 4 as they host Bowie. The games on Monday, June 29 against Reading and Thursday, July 30 against Harrisburg are set to begin at 12:05 PM.
