New Hampshire Fisher Cats starter Robert Ray threw seven shutout innings and the Binghamton Mets fell 2-0 at NYSEG Stadium Thursday. The defeat ends Binghamton's win streak at three games.

New Hampshire (56-76) went ahead on David Smith's RBI single in the third before Ryan Patterson homered off Mike Antonini (0-2) leading off the fourth.

Binghamton (69-63) was unable to push anything across against Ray (7-5). Mike MacDonald got the final four outs for his second save in as many chances.

Friday, the Binghamton Mets play the first game of a three-game series against the Bowie Baysox. Tobi Stoner (4-5, 3.96) will start for Binghamton against Jason Berken (11-3, 3.54) of New Hampshire. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at NYSEG Stadium with the radio broadcast beginning at 6:50 on Newsradio 1290 WNBF.

Notes: Major League rehabber Ryan Church was 0 for 4 in his second game with the B-Mets, playing the entire game...the B-Mets were shut out for the ninth time this season...Both of MacDonald's saves have come against Binghamton...Brian Rogers threw two scoreless innings of relief, extending his Eastern League scoreless streak to 17 innings between Binghamton and Altoona.
