100K Fan expected to stream in this weekend

January 27, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Alaska Aces News Release

For the second year in a row, the Alaska Aces and GCI will be giving away 100,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Miles courtesy of GCI to one lucky Aces fan. Attendance will be tracked during the Augusta series to pinpoint the 100,000th fan entering the arena.

As a major sponsor of the Alaska Aces, GCI is proud to offer 100,000 Alaska Airlines Miles to the lucky 100,000th fan who walks through the door. As the only telecommunications company to offer Alaska Airlines Miles, GCI makes it a point to reward their customers and Alaska Aces fans for their loyalty and continued patronage.

After the Aces-Stockton series, attendance for 2005-06 home games reached 95,429, 4,571 short of 100K. Aces ticketing director Brendan Desjardin predicts that the 100K mark will hit this Sunday, January 29, when Alaska meets Augusta at 5:05 PM. "We have been averaging just over 4,500 tickets per game so reaching our 100K mark on Sunday is very possible. We hit 100K about this time last year," said Desjardin.

On January 30th, 2005, the Alaska Aces and GCI gave 100,000 miles to Aces fan Theresa Williams from Anchorage. In addition to the 100,000 miles, Williams received an autographed Aces jersey commemorating the event with 100KTH Fan on the back. The 2006 winner will also be receiving a jersey along with other promotional Aces items.

To be the Aces & GCI lucky 100KTH Fan you must be the 100,000th ticketed person through the door. The Aces play the Lynx Saturday at 2:05PM and Sunday at 5:05PM.

Tickets are available at the Alaska Aces Office, Sullivan Arena or at any Fred Meyer location. Purchase tickets online at www.alaskaaces.com or by phone at 562-4800.
