February 2, 2026 - BASEBALL American Association: As the 2025 season champions of the independent American Association, the Kane County (IL) Cougars will participate in the 2026 Baseball Champions League (BCL) tournament with the 2025 champions from five other international leagues. The BCL will be held in Mexico City next month (March 24-29) and will feature the host Diablos Rojos del Mexico from Mexico's top Liga Mexicana de Beisbol along with champions from leagues in Venezuela, Taiwan, Cuba and Nicaragua. Riders Re-Sign Canadian Defensive Lineman Benoit Marion

February 2, 2026 - The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed National defensive lineman Benoit Marion. Marion (6'5-260) appeared in 15 games for the Roughriders in 2025, making significant contributions to the Club's special teams, including 13 tackles this past season. Marion initially signed with the Club in October of 2024. He played two regular season games earning four defensive tackles and one sack. Star Safety M.A. Dequoy Announces his Retirement

February 2, 2026 - Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes have called a press conference to announce that star safety Marc-Antoine Dequoy is retiring from football. A second-round pick of the Alouettes (14th overall) in the 2020 CFL Draft, Dequoy played 73 games over five seasons with the Alouettes. In 2023 and 2024, he was named an All-CFL helping the team capture the Grey Cup in 2023. In his career, he recorded 162 defensive tackles, 21 special teams tackles, and 12 interceptions. T.J. Lee Returns for 12th Season with BC Lions

February 2, 2026 - (Vancouver) - The BC Lions announced on Monday that the team has re-signed American defensive back T.J. Lee III to a one-year contract. "T.J. is the longest-tenured Lion for a reason," said general manager Ryan Rigmaiden. "He will continue to be a leader on this team, as he has for a well over a decade. As an organization, we could not be happier to have him back."
