January 23, 2026 - The Calgary Stampeders have re-signed national defensive back Godfrey Onyeka. The Wilfrid Laurier alum had been eligible to become a free agent on Feb. 10.

2025 Season Yields $10m in League-Wide Revenue Growth
January 23, 2026 - TORONTO - In 2025, the Canadian Football League's (CFL) Defined League Revenue reached $10M more than the baseline established in 2024 when the Collective Bargaining Agreement's (CBA) revenue growth sharing model was triggered for the first time since its implementation in 2022. The CFL Players' Association (CFLPA) has allocated the majority of its share towards increasing the Salary Expenditure Cap to $6,280,514 for the upcoming season.

Orozco and Huggins Return to Jax
January 23, 2026 - Jacksonville, FL - The Sharks welcome back K Marc Orozco and DB John Huggins to the Tank for the upcoming 2026 season. Orozco returns after announcing his retirement in the 2025 season, deciding to lace up the cleats once again.
After an injury-shortened 2023-24 season, Orozco (5'9, 180 lbs) returned as th e Sharks kicker in 2025. In the one game Orozco appeared in the 2025 season, made 4 deuces and went 4/4 on PATs.
