January 19, 2017 - JACKSONVILLE - The Jacksonville Sharks announced today that they have signed defensive lineman Rodney Gnat and defensive back Brandon Absher to the 2017 roster. Rodney Gnat (6'3, 253) will enter his fifth season in arena football and first with the Jacksonville Sharks. January 19, 2017 - Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes announced on Thursday that the club has signed quarterback Darian Durant to a three-year deal. His rights were acquired in a trade on January 13. January 19, 2017 - The Calgary Stampeders have signed national defensive back Chris Rwabukamba. A six-year CFL veteran, Rwabukamba spent the final three weeks of the 2016 season on the Stampeders' practice roster. January 19, 2017 - JACKSONVILLE - Jacksonville Sharks receiver Tiger Jones has announced that he will be retiring from arena football, following his two seasons with the Sharks and eight seasons in the sport. Anthony "Tiger" Jones spent eight years in arena football, spending his final two with the Jacksonville Sharks as a key target for quarterback Tommy Grady.
