Blue Bombers Add Defensive Back Lamont
February 20, 2026 - WINNIPEG, MB. - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed American defensive back Deandre Lamont.
Lamont (5-9, 185, Illinois State; born: November 12, 1998, in Baytown, TX.) signs with the Bombers after three seasons in the CFL (2023-2025), and a five-year collegiate career with Illinois State (2022), and Central Arkansas (2018-2021).

February 20, 2026 - TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts Football Club announced today that the team has signed Canadian DL Paris Shand, American DB Akili Arnold, and American RB Elijah Young.
Shand (6'4"/268lbs) was selected by the Argos with the 19th overall selection in last year's CFL Draft, but most recently spent time with the Buffalo Bills. The Toronto native played two seasons at Louisiana State University (2023-2024), where he tallied 42 tackles, nine for loss, four sacks, and three pass breakups in 26 games for the Tigers. Lions Add Former Kansas Jayhawks Lb Marvin Grant
February 20, 2026 - (Vancouver) - The BC Lions announced today that the team has signed American linebacker Marvin Grant.
Grant (6'2, 210 lbs)- moves north after attending rookie mini-camp with the Kansas City Chiefs last season. The Detroit native previously suited up with the Purdie Boilermakers from 2019-21, appearing in 20 games with 92 total tackles (68 solo, 24 assisted). He earned Academic All-Big Ten honours in 2020.

Freight Sign Quarterback Dom Shoffner
February 20, 2026 - FISHERS - The Fishers Freight announced on Tuesday that they have signed quarterback Dom Shoffner for the upcoming 2026 season.
Shoffner, 6'1, joins the team after becoming the fourth quarterback in Eastern Illinois history to rush more than 100 yards in a game. In his senior season, he played eight games for the Panthers and recorded 626 passing yards for seven touchdown passes.
