IFL Orlando Pirates December 5, 2025 - ORLANDO, FL - The Orlando Pirates have re-signed linebacker and defensive back Latavious Brini for the 2026 Indoor Football League Season. Brini, who has NFL and CFL experience, played two games with the team last season. He made nine tackles with .5 tackles for a loss. After a collegiate career playing at the University of Georgia and Arkansas, Brini went to the rookie minicamp with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023 as an undrafted free agent. CFL Calgary Stampeders December 5, 2025 - It is with great sadness the Calgary Stampeders learn of the death of alumnus Moustafa Ali on Tuesday after a battle with ALS. He was 59. Born in Egypt and raised in Ottawa, Ali joined the Stampeders in 1990 after starting his Canadian Football League career with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, who selected the defensive back out of Carleton University in the second round of the 1989 draft.
