December 24, 2025 - The Saskatchewan Roughriders are pleased to announce the 112th Grey Cup's Most Valuable Canadian, Samuel Emilus, has signed a two-year contract extension.
Emilus (6'0-200) re-ups with the Roughriders after a commanding Grey Cup performance that helped his team seal the fifth championship in Club history. The Montreal native went 10-for-10 for 108 yards, the highest totals for a Roughrider in a Grey Cup game in Club history. Minnesota Monsters to Play Home Games at AMSOIL Arena in 2026
December 23, 2025 - DULUTH, Minn. - The Minnesota Monsters have announced that they will play their home games at AMSOIL Arena, located within the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC), for the 2026 Arena Football One (AF1) season.
The Monsters have reached an agreement with the DECC to bring arena football to one of Minnesota's premier venues, providing the organization with an enhanced setting as the team continues to grow in its early years.

Blue Bombers Sign QB Payton Thorne
December 23, 2025 - WINNIPEG, MB. - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed American quarterback Payton Thorne.
Thorne (6-2, 207, Auburn; born: June 26, 2001, in Naperville, IL.) signs with the Bombers after attending camp with the Cincinnati Bengals this season, and a five-year collegiate career with Michigan State (2019-2022) and Auburn (2023-2024).
