April 24, 2026 - NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Washington Capitals and AHL's Hershey Bears, have announced that forward Jalen Luypen has been loaned by Hershey to South Carolina.
Luypen, 23, signed an American Hockey League contract with Hershey on April 19 and appeared in both games in the Bears' sweep of the Bridgeport Islanders in their first-round series in the Calder Cup Playoffs.

April 23, 2026 - NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays begin the quest for their fourth Kelly Cup in franchise history with the Atlanta Gladiators in the South Division Semifinals of the 2026 Kelly Cup Playoffs, presented by Plumb Pro+.
This series is the first time that the Stingrays and Gladiators will meet in the playoffs since meeting in two straight seasons in 2012 and 2013. The two clubs have met four times in the playoffs, splitting the matchups.

Kupka, 26, skated in ten games for Hershey after he was recalled by the Bears on March 24. The Camrose, Alberta native had three points (1g, 2a) with Hershey, scoring the first American Hockey League goal of his career on April 4 in the Bears' 8-1 victory against the Hartford Wolfpack.
