January 10, 2026 - Prince Albert, Sask. - It certainly felt like the playoffs on Saturday night in Prince Albert as the Edmonton Oil Kings defeated the Prince Albert Raiders 5-3 for their eighth win in a row.
Edmonton was outshot 12-4 in the first period, but gave up just a single goal to the Raiders as Owen Corkish gave Prince Albert the 1-0.

The former fourth-round pick, 79th overall in the 2023 draft, Williams has played in 14 games with the Oil Kings this season, notching one assist and a +1 rating.
Out of Leduc, Alta., Williams played 20 games with the Whitecourt Wolverines of the AJHL this season, scoring two goals and adding three assists for five points.

The Oil Kings, winners of seven straight, are coming off a 3-1 win over the Saskatoon Blades on Friday night when they scored a three of their goals on the powerplay. So far in the month of January, the powerplay has been red hot, going 6-for-18.

January 9, 2026 - Saskatoon, Sask. - The Edmonton Oil Kings have won seven in a row after a 3-1 win in Saskatoon over the Blades on Friday night.
Edmonton was able to jump ahead 2-0 in the hockey game, courtesy of a pair of powerplay goals from Max Curran. The first coming just over four minutes into the first period, while the second came just over four minutes into the second. Both were almost identical in their set up as Ethan MacKenzie and Miroslav Holinka both assisted on Curran's 12th and 13th markers of the season.
