March 27, 2026 - Edmonton, Alta. - Game one of the WHL Playoff series between the Edmonton Oil Kings and Saskatoon Blades was a penalty filled affair that saw the Oil Kings fall 3-2. A total of 50 penalty minutes were handed out in the game, and 11 total powerplays. There were also a number of instances of 4-on-4 hockey, and 4-on-3 hockey at times. March 27, 2026 - Edmonton, Alta. - It's that time of year! The WHL Playoffs kick off tonight, and in Edmonton, the Oil Kings host the Saskatoon Blades for game one of their first round series. The Oil Kings are the third seed in the WHL's Eastern Conference after finishing the regular season at 45-18-3-2, including winning nine of their last 11 games to cap off the regular season. Oil Kings Sign Easton Doran to WHL Scholarship & Development Agreement

March 24, 2026 - Edmonton, Alta. - The Edmonton Oil Kings announced today that they have signed 2009-born forward Easton Doran to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Doran, out of Falher, Alta., was originally a ninth-round selection of the Oil Kings, 182nd overall in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft. Doran has already played one game with the Oil Kings this season, tallying one shot on goal in his debut on March 20 in Lethbridge. Oil Kings Hand out 2025/2026 Team Awards

March 23, 2026 - Edmonton, Alta. - The Edmonton Oil Kings handed out their team awawrds on Sunday, March 22 ahead of the final game of the regular season against the Calgary Hitmen. A total of nine awards were handed out. Most Valuable Player: Ethan MacKenzie's named is scattered around the Oil Kings record books after his tremendous 19-year-old season with the Oil Kings.
