November 19, 2025 - Kelowna, B.C. - The Edmonton Oil Kings continue their six-game B.C. swing in a place tonight they hope to return to in a six months time
Tonight, the Oil Kings will visit the Kelowna Rockets at Prospera Place, which will be the site of the 2026 Memorial Cup in May, and the Oil Kings, currently leading the Eastern Conference are hoping this isn't the only time they visit this arena this season.

November 19, 2025 - Penticton, B.C. - The Edmonton Oil Kings are now winners of nine straight games after a 4-3 overtime win against the Penticton Vees on Tuesday night in the first meeting between the two in franchise history.
It was a back and forth game, even though the Vees outshot the Oil Kings 31-21 in the contest as both teams had sustained zone time and quality scoring chances.

November 18, 2025 - Edmonton, Alta. - The Edmonton Oil Kings announced today that they have recalled 2010-born goaltender Elias Mitrikas.
Mitrikas was originally selected in the 2025 WHL Draft in the third round, 58th overall. He is currently playing with the North Shore Warriors U18 Prep team in the CSSHL. He is currently 2-2-0-1 with a 3.48 and a .918 save percentage.
Mitrikas will serve as the backup tonight in Penticton.... Full Story
November 18, 2025 - (Edmonton, AB) - Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) and International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), has announced that the 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship will be played in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta, from December 26, 2026 to January 5, 2027.
The successful bid represents a partnership between OEG Sports & Entertainment, the Red Deer Rebels, Hockey Alberta, the Cities of Edmonton and Red Deer, and the Province of Alberta, which made an $11 million commitment in February 2024 to ho... Full Story
