Curran and MacKenzie Return from World Juniors with Medals in Tow

January 13, 2026 - Edmonton, Alta. - A pair of Edmonton Oil Kings are back with the club after earning medals at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships in Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN, U.S.A. Forward Max Curran helped Team Czechia earn a silver medal at the tournament, while defenceman Ethan MacKenzie helped Team Canada win bronze. And even though the two teammates played for different teams at the tournament, the two had close encounters at the event, being paired in the same group and meeting on Boxing Day to kick off the tournament.... Six Oil Kings Ranked by NHL Central Scouting in Mid-Term Rankings

January 12, 2026 - Edmonton, Alta. - A total of six Edmonton Oil Kings have found themselves on NHL Central Scouting's Mid-Term Rankings. Five players are on the list among North American Skaters with defencemen Ethan MacKenzie (74th), Noa Ta'amu (94th), and forwards Dylan Dean (96th), Andrew O'Neill (126th), and Lukas Sawchyn (168th) are all on the list. Oil Kings Set to Wear Superstore Design-A-Jersey's on Saturday Night

January 12, 2026 - Edmonton, Alta. - The Edmonton Oil Kings are excited to unveil the specialty jerseys they will be wearing on Saturday, January 17 when they host the Tri-City Americans. The jerseys are part of the CHL's Superstore Design-a-Jersey contest, and the Oil Kings are thrilled to have theirs designed by Zara. Oil Kings Finish Road Swing Perfect After Win in Prince Albert

January 10, 2026 - Prince Albert, Sask. - It certainly felt like the playoffs on Saturday night in Prince Albert as the Edmonton Oil Kings defeated the Prince Albert Raiders 5-3 for their eighth win in a row. Edmonton was outshot 12-4 in the first period, but gave up just a single goal to the Raiders as Owen Corkish gave Prince Albert the 1-0.
