June 30, 2026 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen made two selections in the 2026 CHL Import Draft, selecting Calgary Flames prospect Jakob Leander and Russian forward Artem Katsuro. With the 48th overall pick, the Hitmen selected 6-foot-4 defenceman Jakob Leander. Selected by the Calgary Flames in the seventh round (208th overall) of the 2025 NHL Draft, Leander spent the past three seasons developing in the HV71 program in his hometown of Jönköping, Sweden. Ben MacBeath Selected by New York Rangers in 2026 NHL Draft

June 27, 2026 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen are proud to announce defenceman Ben MacBeath has been drafted in the second round (64th overall) by the New York Rangers in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. MacBeath joined the Calgary Hitmen in a trade with the Kelowna Rockets after being selected by Kelowna in the seventh round of the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft. Cass Bruni Named General Manager of Calgary Hitmen

June 8, 2026 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen are pleased to announce Cass Bruni as the club's new General Manager. Garry Davidson will assume a Hockey Operations Advisory role where he will continue to support the club's hockey operations. Cass Bruni came to the Calgary Hitmen in 2017, serving as their video coach until 2020 before transitioning to the team's scouting staff for four seasons.
