South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The Stingrays played two away games last week and came away with two victories. After losing their first road game, the team has now won their last five in a row.
First up, the team traveled to Charlotte to face the Checkers again. The Rays won both games last week with a 6-1 victory on Thursday night, the team made it three in a row. In the victory, the Rays scored four un-answered goals, including three power play goals in the third. Bobby Goepfert had the win stopping 19 of 20 shots.
On Saturday, the Rays traveled to Gwinnett to meet for the first time. In a tough match-up, the Stingrays came back twice to force the game into overtime. After a scoreless extra period, the Stingrays were the eventual 3-2 winner after goals by Trent Campbell and Paul McIlveen in the shootout. In net for the Rays was Michal Neuvirth, who stopped 46 of 48 shots in regulation.

Michael Dubuc is 11th in the ECHL with 15 points and 3rd among rookies. His nine goals are second among rookies and his 43 shots is fourth.
Tom Maxwell leads the league in shooting percentage with three goals in six shots.
Bobby Goepfert leads the ECHL with a 1.00 goals-against average. Goepfert's .961 save percentage also leads the league. Both Goepfert and Michal Neuvirth have a shut-out this season, ranking two and three respectively.
The Rays power play is 4th in the league at 20.7%. The team is 7th on the penalty kill with 83.8%.

Stick around after the game for an autograph session with all the players on the concourse.
