
Royals Loan Marsh and Schaeffer To AHL

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that the organization has loaned defenseman Tyson Marsh to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL; and, in a separate transaction, loaned defenseman Kevin Schaeffer to the Providence Bruins of the AHL. In separate transactions also announced today, the Royals: (i) activated forward Tyler Doig from the 7-Day Injured Reserve (effective Sunday, November 16); (ii) placed defenseman Dinos Stamoulis on the 3-Day Injured Reserve (effective, Sunday, November 16); (iii) transferred defenseman Steve Ward from the 3-Day Injured Reserve to the 7-Day Injured Reserve; and (iv) released goaltender Rob Lemelin as Emergency Back-Up Goaltender.
In eight games with the Royals this season, Marsh has registered three assists and picked up sixteen penalty minutes. Schaeffer has yet to pick up a point in six games with the Royals this year.
The Royals return to action on Friday (November 21) when the team travels to Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to take on the Chiefs at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena (7:05 pm). The Royals return to the Sovereign Center next Saturday (November 22, @ 7:05 pm) when the Elmira Jackals travel to Reading. Next Friday and Saturday's games will be broadcast live on the Royals Radio Network Presented by Transmissions by Arbogast (True Oldies WRAW 1340 am in Reading; and The Ticket WLAN 1390 am in Lancaster), as well as on the internet through the Royals website.
