Iowa recalls Thomas

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, announced today that D Andrew Thomas has been recalled by the Ducks American Hockey League affiliate, the Iowa Chops.

Thomas, who turned 23 last Friday, leads all Condors defensemen with eight points (all assists) in 13 games. His point total is also tied for fifth on the club, while his assist total is first. Thomas played four seasons at the University of Denver and was a fourth round draft pick of the Washington Capitals in 2005. The Bow, New Hampshire, native skated in rookie camp with Anaheim and attended training camp with the Chops as well, prior to joining the Condors this season.

Notes from the Nest

After a pair of games in Phoenix against the RoadRunners on Wednesday and Friday, the Condors return to the Mercy & Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena on Saturday, Nov. 22 to host Phoenix. That night, the Oakland Raiderettes come to town, sponsored by ABC23, 98.5 The Fox and Cal Water. They will perform during the intermissions, sign autographs and pose for pictures in the Condors Photo Booth throughout the night. Doors open at 6 p.m., puck drops at 7 p.m.

Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 322- 2525, online at
