Six South Bay players scored in double figures, including all five starters. South Bay Lakers Sign Center Cheikh Mbacke Diong

December 5, 2025 - EL SEGUNDO - The South Bay Lakers have signed center Cheikh Mbacke Diong from the NBA G League Player Pool. Diong (6'11", 235) most recently appeared in one Tip-Off Tournament game for the Cleveland Charge this season after spending training camp with South Bay. The 25-year-old appeared in 19 total games in 2024-25 for the Santa Cruz Warriors and Westchester Knicks, averaging 2.9 points and 4.2 rebounds in 13.0 minutes. November 24, 2025 - EL SEGUNDO - South Bay Lakers guard Kobe Bufkin has signed a 10-day contract with the Memphis Grizzlies. The call-up marks the first of the 2025-26 campaign for South Bay and the 57th overall in franchise history. Bufkin was recently acquired by South Bay on Nov. 13. He appeared in two Tip-Off Tournament games for the team this season, averaging 22.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 28.7 minutes. November 24, 2025 - EL SEGUNDO - The South Bay Lakers defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors 108-105 Sunday night at UCLA Health Training Center to improve to 5-1 overall and 5-0 at home.
