September 24, 2025 - DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have signed linebacker Austin Edmonds to the 2026 roster, Head Coach Andre Coles announced today. Edmonds (6-1, 225, Jackson State) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his rookie Indoor Football League (IFL) season. Edmonds' success started in high school. Barnstormers Sign Defensive Back

September 23, 2025 - DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have signed defensive back Jazzir Merricks to the 2026 roster, Head Coach Andre Coles announced today. Merricks (6-2, 198, Bethel University) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first season in the Indoor Football League (IFL) and with the Barnstormers. Collegiately, Merricks began his career at Montclair University in 2020, appearing in one game before the season's cancellation. September 22, 2025 - DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have named Jack Traxtle as Offensive Assistant for the 2026 season, General Manager Juli Pettit and Head Coach Andre Coles announced today. Traxtle returns to the Barnstormers for his second season on the coaching staff, having served as Offensive Line Coach in 2025. September 21, 2025 - The Iowa Barnstormers have named J'Vontez "Snoop" Blackmon as Defensive Coordinator and Bill Serna as Special Teams Coordinator for the upcoming 2026 season. Blackmon joins the Barnstormers with an accomplished indoor football background as both a player and coach.
