November 18, 2025 - The Des Moines Buccaneers are proud to announce a new partnership with Thrivent, the presenting sponsor of Faith and Family Night and the Buccaneers' Donation Program for the 2025-26 season. Together, the two organizations will continue championing service, generosity, and community impact across Central Iowa. Last season, the Buccaneers contributed over $120,000 in ticket vouchers, signed memorabilia, specialty jersey auction proceeds, and Chuck-a-Puck fundraising, while players and staff volunteered more than 500 hours ... Bucs Rally to Shootout, Fall 4-3 in Dubuque

October 31, 2025 - Dubuque, Iowa - The Des Moines Buccaneers (5-3-2-3) fell in a 4-3 shootout loss against the Dubuque Fighting Saints (10-2-0-0) Thursday night at ImOn Arena in Dubuque. Dubuque forward Masun Fleece notched two big goals in the opening frame, but a final shootout goal for Melvin Ekman sealed the win for the Fighting Saints. Ryland Rooney tallied two goals and an assist for Des Moines. Bucs Take 2-1 OT Win for Weekend Sweep

October 25, 2025 - West Des Moines, Iowa - The Des Moines Buccaneers (5-3-2-2) captured a 2-1 overtime victory against the USA Hockey NTDP U-17s (2-8-3-0) Friday night at the MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex. Keaton Orrey and Riley Zupfer's 2-on-1 opportunity early in the extra period ended the match with a Bucs victory. Des Moines goalie Max Weilandt (5-2-2-2) backstopped the victory with 17 saves on 18 shots, rivaled by USA goalie Eli Winters' (0-4-0-0) 31 saves on 33 shots.
