Metairie, LA - The Zephyrs fell for the third-straight game to the Omaha Royals on Thursday, 8-4.

Scott Sullivan (1-0) got a win in his first decision of the season, after throwing two innings and giving up only two hits and no runs, striking out three batters.

First baseman Chris Santos led the Royals offensively, going 1-4 with three RBI and two runs. Santos hit a three-run homer in the ninth inning to put the game away.

For the Zephyrs, designated hitter Rick Short went 2-4 with two RBI, extending his hitting streak to 17 games.

The teams will meet for their final game on Friday, with the Omaha Royals taking a 3-0 lead in the series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM CT.
