Andrew Lorraine authored a five-hit complete game shutout against Tucson Thursday night lifting Tacoma to a 3-0 victory at Cheney Stadium. Tucson advanced just one man into scoring position all game long and failed to get a runner to third base.

The Sidewinders have lost all three games in the series and four in a row. The Sidewinders fell a season high six games back of Sacramento in the Pacific South Division.

The Rainiers plated a pair of early runs against Chris Michalak in the second inning. With runners at first and second and one out, Miguel Olivio laced a single over the head of Andy Green in left field scoring Wiki Gonzalez with the first run. Greg Dobbs' two-out single plated Chris Snelling for the 2-0 lead.

Tacoma added an insurance run in the seventh inning for the final 3-0 margin.

Andy Green extended his hitting streak to 12 games with a sixth inning single. Green finished 2-4. Koy Hill had Tucson's only extra base hit with a second-inning double.

Tacoma won for the 14th time in 16 games.

Tucson fell to 36-39. The Sidewinders will finish the four-game series Friday night in a 7:05 p.m. start. Bill Murphy (2-3 4.96) will start for Tucson against Tacoma's Jeff Harris (2-0 2.42). The game will air live on COOL 1450 AM.
