
Wranglers Magliarditi Named ECHL ITECH Hockey Saver of the Week

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today goaltender Marc Magliarditi was named the ITECH HOCKEY ECHL Saver of the Week for January 12-18.
Magliarditi made 27 saves in a 3-1 win against Alaska on January 13th and had 35 saves in a 3-2 win at Bakersfield on January 17th helping Las Vegas remain in the thick of the Pacific Division race.
This is Magliarditi's second award of the season. He was named the ECHL Saver of the Month after going 5-0-0 with a 1.98 goals against average and a .944 save percentage in October.
Magliarditi has played 28 of the Las Vegas' 39 games going into the all-star break going 18-7-3. Magliarditi is tied for third among league netminders with 18 wins. His 2.34 goals against average places him sixth best in the ECHL. Magliarditi also ranks fourth best in the ECHL with 859 saves. The Niagara Falls, NY native is also tied for seventh best in the ECHL with 1692 minutes played in net. Magliarditi has two streaks of playing 10 consecutive games or more. Magliarditi has been best at home this year going 13-2-1 with a 2.17 goals against average and a save percentage of .933. The seven-year professional went unbeaten in his first 13 games (12-0-1) at the Orleans Arena from October 21st to January 9th.
Magliarditi has moved into fourth place in career wins by an ECHL goaltender with 152 and is only three wins shy of Dave Gagnon, who is in third place with 155 wins.
In 1998-99, Magliarditi led the ECHL with 32 wins and was second in goals against average with 2.27 while helping the expansion Florida Everblades finish with a 45-20-5 record and a berth in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Magliarditi, who was named Second Team All-ECHL, set Florida team records for wins, shutouts (5) and goals against average (2.27) in 1998-99, and the following season set the team record for save percentage with .923 while going 22-9-0 as the Everblades set an ECHL record with 108 points (53-15-2). In addition to Florida, Magliarditi has played in the ECHL with Columbus (Ohio), Louisiana and Richmond.
Las Vegas heads to Fresno to take on the Falcons at 5:00 pm this Sunday. The Wranglers return home to the Orleans Arena on Tuesday, January 27th when they host the San Diego Gulls at 7:05 pm.
