Atlanta Gladiators News Release

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have acquired goaltender Trevor Prior from the Columbia Inferno for cash.

Prior, in his sixth professional season, has posted a 3.89 goals against average and a .880 save percentage in 5 games with the Inferno. The Guelph, Ontario native began the season with Cape Fear of the South East Hockey League where went 5-10-0 and posted a 3.69 goals against average.

"With Adam (Munro) and Michael (Garnett) both called up to the AHL," said Gladiators Head Coach Jeff Pyle, "we needed another goaltender to join Buckley in net. Trevor has experience in the ECHL and knows what is expected at this level."

The 5-foot-9, 190-pound netminder played in four games last season with the Sheffield Steelers of the British International Super League and posted a 2.94 goals against average.

Prior will be available for the Gladiators in Saturday's 7:30 p.m. start against the South Carolina Stingrays in North Charleston.
