
Chiefs Fall to Roanoke 5-2

Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs five game unbeaten streak (4-0-1) was snapped Friday night, as they fell to the visiting Roanoke Express 5-2 at the War Memorial.
Five different Roanoke players scored as Dan Carney, Andrew McPherson, Neil Posillico, Bryan Perez, and Rick Kowalsky all tallied. Larry Courville and Brent Kelly scored the Johnstown goals.
Chiefs goaltender Cory Campbell (9 saves) suffered the loss, allowing three goals in a little more than a period and a half. David Currie (7 saves) came in relief of Campbell allowing two goals. Express goaltender Jason Wolfe stopped 32 of 34 Johnstown shots.
The Chiefs fall to 21-15-4, while Roanoke improves to 21-17-2.
The Chiefs are back in action tomorrow night when they host the Reading Royals (7:05 p.m.). Sunday afternoon, the Chiefs close out their "three in three," weekend when they travel to Toledo to take on the Storm. Next Friday night, the Chiefs will host the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies and Saturday night they host the Reading Royals. Face-off is both games in 7:05 p.m. February 21st, when the Chiefs take on the Trenton Titans, Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s car will be on display at the arena.
