
Las Vegas' Magliarditi Named ITECH HOCKEY ECHL Saver of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Las Vegas goaltender Marc Magliarditi is the ITECH HOCKEY ECHL Saver of the Week for January 12-18.
Magliarditi made 27 saves in a 3-1 win against Alaska on January 13 and had 35 saves in a 3-2 win at Bakersfield on January 17 helping Las Vegas remain in the thick of the Pacific Division race.
Magliarditi is 18-7-3 with a .929 save percentage. He is tied for fourth in the ECHL with 859 saves and tied for sixth in goals against average with 2.34. He was named the ECHL Saver of the Month after going 5-0-0 with a 1.98 goals against average and a .944 save percentage in October.
Magliarditi has moved into fourth place in career wins by an ECHL goaltender with 152 and is only three wins shy of Dave Gagnon, who is in third place with 155 wins.
In 1998-99, Magliarditi led the ECHL with 32 wins and was second in goals against average with 2.27 while helping the expansion Florida Everblades finish with a 45-20-5 record and a berth in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Magliarditi, who was named Second Team All-ECHL, set Florida team records for wins, shutouts (5) and goals against average (2.27) in 1998-99, and the following season set the team record for save percentage with .923 while going 22-9-0 as the Everblades set an ECHL record with 108 points (53-15-2). In addition to Florida, Magliarditi has played in the ECHL with Columbus (Ohio), Louisiana and Richmond.
Runners Up: Greg Gardner, Mississippi (2-0-0, 2.00 GAA, .934 save pct.) and Jeff Maund, Florida (2-0-0, 2.00 GAA, .933 save pct.).
