Woywitka Recalled by the Blues

Peoria, IL (November 20, 2006) - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that defenseman Jeff Woywitka has been recalled from the Peoria Rivermen, the Blues' American Hockey League affiliate.

Woywitka, 23, made his season debut with the Blues on Friday, November 17 at Vancouver and registered one assist. He has played in 15 games with Peoria this season, recording seven assists along with eight penalty minutes.

The Rivermen host the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights on Friday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Carver Arena. It's Salvation Army Coats for Kids Night. Fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently-used coat to donate and will receive a free voucher to an upcoming Rivermen game. The 25 Greatest Rivermen of All-Time, presented U.S. Cellular, Card Set giveaway continues with Tony Curtale; the first 2,500 fans receive a card. Peoria travels to Omaha the following night to complete the back end of a home-and-home set between the clubs. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Omaha Civic Auditorium.
