Coyotes assign MacLean and Jones to Rampage

SAN ANTONIO (November 21, 2006) - The San Antonio Rampage, the primary affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes, announced today that the Coyotes have assigned center Donald MacLean and defenseman Matt Jones to the American Hockey League club.

MacLean, last year's AHL MVP, lead the Rampage in scoring with six points (four goals, two assists) after the first nine games before being recalled by the Coyotes on Oct. 25. In nine games with Phoenix, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound native of Sydney, Nova Scotia registered two points (goal, assist).

Jones, 23, has registered one assist and 11 penalty minutes in nine games with San Antonio this season. The 6-foot, 215-pound defenseman scored his first NHL goal on Oct. 28 against the New York Rangers. The Downers Grove, Illinois native played 10 games with the Coyotes this season, registering three points (goal, two assists) and four penalty minutes.
