Wolf Pack Weekly

November 21, 2006 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Connecticut Whale News Release

The Wolf Pack split the two games of a Texas road trip this past week. A Saturday-night visit to San Antonio ended up in a 3-1 loss, but the Pack rebounded Sunday in Houston, knocking off the Aeros by a score of 4-3. A goal by Dwight Helminen with less than 27 seconds left in the third period decided that game, and Dale Purinton keyed the Wolf Pack offense with the first two-goal game of his pro career. Greg Moore also contributed a goal and an assist Sunday for his first multiple-point game as a pro, and the Wolf Pack's only goal in Saturday's game was Jarkko Immonen's first of the year.

This week:

The Wolf Pack will be busy this holiday week, with four games in five days, including their first looks at the new Worcester Sharks. The San Jose farmhands will visit the Hartford Civic Center Wednesday (7:00 faceoff), and then the Pack travel to Providence for a Friday-night battle with the Bruins (7:05). GEICO Connecticut Cup action returns to the Civic Center on Saturday (7:00) as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers pay a visit, and the first 5,000 fans that night receive a Wolf Pack tenth-anniversary commemorative 3-D cup from GEICO. The weekend concludes with a rematch against the Sharks Sunday, this time at the DCU Center in Worcester (4:00).
