Wolves Bolster Roster For Weekend Tilts

The Chicago Wolves have recalled center MATT ANDERSON from the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators and have signed defenseman JARED NIGHTINGALE.

ANDERSON has notched two points (G, A) and eight penalty minutes in 12 games with the Wolves this season, which includes his first regular-season American Hockey League goal on March 1. The 25-year-old forward has spent the majority of the year with Gwinnett, posting 13 goals and 27 points in 35 games during his first full professional campaign, which includes 10 points (4G, 6A) over his last five outings.

NIGHTINGALE has appeared in 21 career AHL contests with the Springfield Falcons, Iowa Stars and Hartford Wolf Pack over the last three seasons, racking up four points (3G, A) and 26 penalty minutes, which includes posting four penalty minutes in two contests with Hartford this year. The 25-year-old blueliner has spent the majority of this season with the ECHL's Charlotte Checkers, leading the squad with 177 penalty minutes and posting 11 assists and 14 points in 63 tilts.

Chicago, which ranks second in the AHL with 47 wins and 98 points, plays three games in three days starting with a matchup against the Rockford IceHogs at the Rockford MetroCentre on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Wolves host the Houston Aeros at the Allstate Arena on Saturday at 7 p.m., and the Grand Rapids Griffins on Sunday at 4 p.m.
