Hartford Wolf Pack News Release
The Wolf Pack (30-18-5-3, 68 pts.) absorbed a pair of narrow defeats this past week, falling 4-2 in Manchester on Friday night and dropping a 3-2 overtime decision to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Saturday night at home. The Pack led the Monarchs 2-1 going into the third period Friday, on goals by Steve Spinell and Tyler Brown, but Manchester came back with three tallies in the final frame to turn the tables. The Wolf Pack trailed Saturday's contest 1-0 and 2-1, but came back both times on goals by Chris Mueller.

Eight teams in each conference qualify for the playoffs: the three division winners will be seeded first through third in order of points, and the next five teams in order of points will be seeded fourth through eighth.
This week:
The Wolf Pack begin the month of March with a three-game weekend, starting with a visit to Worcester for a 7:30 PM game Friday night. Saturday the Wolf Pack host the Hershey Bears at the XL Center, in a game that faces off at a special time of 3:30 PM. Then the Pack make their second visit in just over a week to Manchester on Sunday, for a 3:00 faceoff.
Friday, March 6 at the Worcester Sharks (DCU Center), 7:30 PM
- The Sharks enter the week two points behind the Wolf Pack in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 30-19-4-2 for 66 points, good for a tie with Providence for second place in the Atlantic Division. Worcester has lost two straight, both by shutout, after a run of only four regulation defeats in 26 games (19-4-2-1).
- This is the last of four meetings on the season between the Wolf Pack and Sharks, and the Pack are going for a series sweep. In their only previous visit to Worcester, back on October 21, the Wolf Pack pulled out a 5-3 win.
- Worcester's leading scorer is rookie forward Evan Trupp, who has totaled 13-18-31 in 54 games.

Saturday, March 7 vs. the Hershey Bears at the XL Center, 3:30 PM
- The first 2,000 fans into this game will receive a distinctive "double bobble" of Wolf Pack brothers Chris and Ryan Bourque. The bobblehead is presented by Team Ferior - The Wolf Pack will be offering a special discount package for this game. The deal includes four Red-Level tickets to the game, two vouchers for Red-Level tickets to any other 2014-15 Wolf Pack home game, and a mini-helmet autographed by the Bourque brothers. That package is available for only $125, and can be ordered by calling the Wolf Pack ticket sales office at (855) 762-6451.

- The XL Center's Comcast Coliseum Club is featuring a new buffet package for all remaining Saturday Wolf Pack games. The menu will include: tender, juicy, endless prime rib, alongside seven premium Saturday-only buffet additions, those being delicious, nonstop peel "Ën eat shrimp, a nightly chef special, fresh vegetables, potatoes, a kids' entree, salad, fresh fruit, antipasto and dessert, all for only $19.00.
- The Bears have won five straight and are 16-1-1-1 in their last 19 games, and have ascended to first place overall in the AHL, with a record of 35-14-5-2 for 77 points.
- The top-scoring Bear is former Connecticut Whale Tim Kennedy, who has posted 46 points on the year, of which 40 have been assists, tying him for the AHL lead in that department, in 55 games.
- This is the last game of a four-game season series between the Wolf Pack and Bears. Hartford is 1-1-1-0 in three previous meetings, and lost 1-0 in overtime in Hershey's only prior visit to the XL Center October 19.

Sunday, March 8 at the Manchester Monarchs (Verizon Wireless Arena), 3:00 PM
- The Monarchs followed up their 4-2 home win Friday night over the Wolf Pack with a 4-3 defeat at Portland Saturday and a 2-0 shutout victory at home vs. Worcester Sunday. At 34-14-5-2 for 75 points, Manchester is two points behind Hershey for the overall AHL points lead.
- Goaltender Patrik Bartosak registered his first shutout of the season in Sunday's Monarch win vs. Worcester, making 29 saves in Manchester's 2-0 victory.
- This is the third of four meetings on the season between the Wolf Pack and Monarchs, and the Wolf Pack's second of two trips, and second visit in nine days, to Manchester. After Friday's 4-2 loss at Verizon Wireless Arena, the Wolf Pack are 0-1-1-0 in two games vs. the Monarchs, having lost the first game of the season series 4-3 in overtime November 16 at the XL Center.
