Wed., Feb. 25

STJ 3 vs POR 2 (SO)

Connor Hellebuyck made 41 saves and stopped all three shooters in the shootout as the IceCaps beat the Portland Pirates at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, ME. Chase Balisy scored the only goal in the shootout while John Albert and Patrice Cormier had the tallies in regulation. With the win, the IceCaps extended their point streak to five games and clinched the best-of-nine Eimskip Port-to-Port Challenge Cup series with two games left to play.

WOR 6 vs STJ 3

The IceCaps were unable to extend their five-game point streak as they fell to the Worcester Sharks at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA. St. John's got two-point efforts from linemates John Albert (1G, 1A), Scott Kosmachuk (1G, 1A) and JC Lipon (2A).

Sat., Feb. 28

STJ 2 vs WOR 0

Connor Hellebuyck posted a team-record 50 saves as St. John's shut out the Worcester Sharks 2-0 at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA. Jason Jaffray with his sixth goal of the season and Chase Balisy with his 14th, scored for the game's only goals.

MOLSON CUP THREE STARS

Hellebuyck in the Record Books: IceCaps rookie netminder Connor Hellebuyck set two team records last week with his 24th win of the season and a 50-save shutout performance versus the Worcester Sharks. Hellebuyck now has six shutouts on the season.

Klingberg Leaves a Legacy: The Winnipeg Jets dealt original IceCap Carl Klingberg on Sunday to the New York Rangers.

Klingberg leaves as the IceCaps' all-time leader in games played (248) and is second all-time in goals (63) and third in points (132).
