DES MOINES, IOWA - The Hamilton Bulldogs fired a season-high 44 shots on goal on Friday night, but couldn't solve Iowa Wild goaltender Darcy Kuemper as the 'Dogs (12-14-0-3) fell to the Wild (11-13-2-0) at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.

Iowa forward Jason Zucker got the Wild on the scoreboard first at 3:12 of the second period when he potted a rebound past Bulldogs goaltender Mike Condon. Forward Tyler Graovac and defenceman Steven Kampfer earned assists on the play.

Wild forward Stephane Veilleux scored 9:44 into the third period to put Iowa ahead 2-0, with assists from defencemen Jon Landry and Jonathon Blum.

Iowa forward Carson McMillan put the game away for good with less than five minutes to go, giving the Wild a 3-0 lead. Graovac and defenceman Kyle Medvec drew assists on the play.

The 'Dogs out-shot the Wild in all three periods, but were unable to put one past Kuemper.

Condon made 24 saves on 27 shots in the Bulldogs net in the loss. Kuemper stopped all 44 shots faced for the Wild in the win.

The Bulldogs went 0-for-2 on the power play, while the Wild went 0-for-4.
