
Bulldogs Recall Matt Grassi

MONTREAL, QUEBEC - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Bulldogs have recalled defenceman Matt Grassi from the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers.
In 24 games with Wheeling this season, Grassi has recorded five points (one goal, four assists) and 21 penalty minutes. The 6'3", 215-pound defenceman split the 2012-2013 season between the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Michigan State University Spartans and the Bulldogs. In 41 regular season games with the Spartans, the Burnaby, British Columbia native recorded three points (one goal, two assists) and 22 penalty minutes. In three regular season games with the Bulldogs on an amateur try out, the 24-year-old recorded no points and no penalty minutes. He was signed to a one-year American Hockey League contract by the Bulldogs on August 12th, 2013.
Hamilton's next game is scheduled for tonight, Friday, December 20th, when they will visit the Iowa Wild (AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild) at 8:05 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. The 'Dogs return to Copps Coliseum on Sunday, December 22nd when they will host the Abbotsford Heat (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames) at 3:00 p.m.
