Walleye Clinch Playoff Spot
March 19, 2016 - ECHL (ECHL)
Toledo Walleye News Release
TOLEDO, OH - Our Fish Our Fight! With Atlanta's loss to Greenville tonight, the Toledo Walleye have secured a spot in the ECHL's 2016 Kelly Cup Playoffs! This is the fourth time in team history the Walleye will see postseason action.
There's "unfinished business" for the Walleye heading into the playoffs.
Last season, Toledo came within a goal of playing for the Kelly Cup, losing an Eastern Conference Finals Game 7 triple-overtime thriller against South Carolina. This year the goal is going all the way!
The Walleye continue to rewrite the T-Town Hockey history books, setting a new team record for sellouts at the Huntington Center (currently at 16). And another record is on the horizon, with four home games remaining, the Walleye are on track to surpass the record set last season of 231,847.
