Indy Fuel News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - Luc-Olivier Blain scored a goal and added an assist to help the Brampton Beast past the Indy Fuel on Saturday night at Indiana Farmers Coliseum by a 3-1 score.

Cody Sharib opened the scoring with a power play goal at 7:43 when he tipped a Nick Mattson point shot past Beast goaltender Kenny Reiter (38 saves) to make it 1-0 Fuel.

But from there, Brampton scored three unanswered goals to take the win. Tim Billingsley, Nick McParland and Blain put the game away with three goals in a span of 8:14 at the end of the first period.

The Fuel did have a glimmer of hope when Daniel Ciampini was awarded a penalty shot at 18:05 of the second period but he was unable to beat Blain.

Indy is back in action Sunday afternoon in Quad City against the Mallards at 5:05 pm. The Morellis Cleaners Indy Fuel pregame show starts 15 minutes prior to puck drop for the webcast on CBSSports1430.com and via the TuneIn Radio app.
