Toledo, OH - Forward Will Kessel has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2015-16 season.

Kessel started this season with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL appearing in two games with one assist. The Bloomfield Hills, Michigan native made his pro debut at the end of last season with three games for the Kalamazoo Wings, scoring once.

Over the past four years, Kessel has been with Western Michigan University. He collected 45 points (20G, 25A) in 148 games for the Broncos and was a member of the 2011-12 team that won a CCHA Championship. The 23-year-old forward played with current Walleye forwards Dane Walters and Shane Berschbach at Western Michigan. While serving as team captain last year, Kessel posted career highs in goals (7)

Toledo heads to Brampton, Ontario this weekend for games Friday and Sunday against the Beast. , assists (13) and points (20).
