The Situation
The Grizzlies enter the week with a 2-1-1-0 record and a .625 winning percentage as they play a home and home weekend with the Idaho Steelheads.
Back Home Saturday At 2 p.m.
The Grizzlies host Idaho on Saturday for a Halloween Matinee. Kids in costume will be admitted free* and there will be trunk or treating on the upper concourse during the second intermission. In addition, the Grizzlies will be wearing zombie costumes presented by Coors that will be auctioned off live after the game with all proceeds going to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
**Up to two free kids per paying adult.**
The Offense
The Grizzlies have scored four or more goals in three of their four games and have scored five goals in two of four games.
Quick Strikes
Already this season, the Grizzlies have scored back-to-back goals 16 seconds apart and 37 seconds apart. Utah made a 1-1 game 3-1 in 16 seconds in Colorado on October 17. Saturday, the Grizzlies made a 4-1 deficit 4-3 in 37 seconds. Friday, the Grizzlies tied the game 59 seconds after falling behind 1-0. Saturday, they tied the game 32 seconds after falling behind 1-0 in the first period.
4-For-4
Three Grizzlies players have scored at least a point in all four games so far. Barry Almeida has six goals and three assists, Ryan Walters has three goals and four assists and Matt Berry has one goal and four assists.
Three-Point Nights
Barry Almeida has scored three points or more in two of four games so far with a four-goal performance on October 24 and three assists Saturday.
Four Point Nights
Both Barry Almeida (four goals; October 24) and Ryan Walters (two goals, two assists; October 24) have recorded four-point games already this season.
Leading The League
Barry Almeida leads the ECHL with nine points in four games and also leads the ECHL with six goals.
Without Ryan Faragher
Goaltender Ryan Faragher who started the season 2-0, stopping 70 of 75 shots, was not in the Grizzlies lineup this weekend as he recovered from an illness. He is expected to be back in uniform Friday in Boise. Faragher is in his second season under contract with the Anaheim Ducks organization.
