Allen Americans Celebrate Overtime Winner at Utah Grizzlies

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans made it a 3-0 week on the road, with victories over Colorado on Wednesday, and back to back wins in Utah on Friday and Saturday. With the three straight victories, the Americans are now tied for first place in the ECHL Central Division.

Wednesday, October 21 @ Colorado - 3-1 Win
Loveland, Colorado - The Allen Americans scored three times in the third period, including a shorthanded goal from Casey Pierro-Zabotel, to defeat the Colorado Eagles 3-1 at the Budweiser Events Center. This was the first meeting between the two teams since the 2010-2011 season.
Friday, October 23 @ Utah - 4-2 Win
Salt Lake City, Utah - Greger Hanson sealed the Americans victory with an empty net goal late in the third, as Allen won by a score of 4-2 over the Utah Grizzlies in the first ever meeting between the two clubs.
Saturday, October 24 @ Utah - 6-5 OT Win
Salt Lake City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies tied the game with 25 seconds left in regulation and the Allen Americans won the game 37 seconds into overtime, as Casey Pierro-Zabotel scored on a breakaway goal with an assist from Chad Costello, as the Americans defeated the Grizzlies 6-5 in overtime.
